I had taken infopass and officer sent an email to TSC enquiring about current status. Today, I got snail mail reply..
"Due to the high volume of expedite requests for this case type, we are strictly enforcing the criteria that has been set for these expedite requests."

I called customer service yeasterday and the response is that they were processing June22 cases and they would get to July 2 in 2-3 weeks.

All we are asking is to support some kind of action against the USCIS...
we just need to mobilize ourselves... this is not a fight for EB-2 or EB-3... but for the whole legal immigration system... let's just do something
we are looking at specific situations where the legal immigrant community was affected... and right now its the non sequential processing of the applications for EB-2...
for EB-3 we will need to make similar points which we can raise with Ombudsman or some other authority... we just need to find instances where people were affected... for example delays in EAD.. and that is for EB-2 and EB-3

Folks please stop bickering...As someone said everyone is here to find a better life and enjoy the same...everyone has the talent..in one field or the other...and it's not that folks who have Master's from US are the only SMART people..!!!
So, let's try to find a solution to nehas issue...I know so many people are looking for the same solution in this Economical Recession time...may be Nehas is on H1b but many are here on their final stages of GC and getting laid off....so, no one knows their fate until it happens..!!!
And as far as I know...nehas status is illegal now...meaning one cannot stay on H1b without getting paid...and nehas should know that it would be hard for you to go for permanent residency in the future..!! So, nehas the best solution would be try to find a job ASAP or change status back to H4...!!! well going, to h4 is just your choice...and note that no one is forcing you to do so..but be reminded that you will have trouble going forward in the future for your GC...

There is no short cut to get relief. Each one of us needs to spend time, money and effort on a continuous basis for a long term, if we want something to happen. Nothing happens overnight. If your opposition is tough, economy is bad, you have to make more efforts to get things done. Many just come once in a while on IV forums when visa dates are bad, blame IV for doing nothing, give ideas and go away. We have seen it oft repeated after every visa bulletin. Those people who complain have never even tried to become a volunteer and tried doing anything. That needs to stop. If people genuinely want something to happen, each person needs to get active. We have stopped posting much on the open forum for these reasons. Very few show real commitment and sincerity. $25 is the least you can do to show that you are committed to the purpose of this relief and appreciate the hard work of the organization. We are always welcoming anyone who wishes to volunteer and can help implement their ideas. So if you have ideas and can commit your time, skills and energy for it on a continuous basis contact us.

When is the next congress session? is it in Nov/Dec (the so called lame-duck session). I am wondering about chances of having some immigration measures during that session. Being a lame-duck session, do congressmen can take up a serious measure like immigration for discussion (either CIR or SKIL)? If not - is it possible to introduce some highly desirable stop-gap measures like: ability to apply for 485 during retrogession; recapturing the unused visa numbers from previous years with soft country limits (as is done a few years back); and faster backlog reduction at BEC�s. In short I am wondering about our strategy for next 4-5 months; and is there a hope - however small it maybe � hope of getting something done this year; Or our only hope is with next congress?
Talking about next congress - I was wondering about what is the best outcome for us during elections? Does democrats getting majority in both houses is better for us or is it other way? Or a combo is best for us (democrat majority in house with republican majority in senate).
Statutory warning: I know this post is full of questions of general nature (i.e. there is no definite answer). I am posting to discuss/speculate the chances of any immig measures making it in �06 or early �07.

Sent on Jun 29th. I don't know when it has reached. My dates were available in June. I am hoping it should have reached Jun 30th.
Anyone know if they accept packages on Saturday?
I'm in very similar situation. My dates were available for June as well. My HR/Attorneys did this long and painful bureaucratic process. We have an internal website which says that my case was �filed� on Jun-29th. Don�t know what the fuck that means. Whether it was sent on 29th or received on 29th? Couldn�t get HR to answer.Don�t have direct communication lines with Attorneys... If it�s sent on 29th, does USCIS take packages on Saturday or Sunday? If they take only on Monday, will they throw it out because it reached in July? Oh well, just have to wait and see...

Not sure about the GreenCard Application because the link is not working. However, USCIS has shown significant improvement in handling H1B application for this year. They conducted lottory for 163K application in just one week and also honoring the premium processing timeframe.
