Folks it has been long time I last wrote here � but this visa bulletin made me mad (sorry)
So I went and downloaded all the FLCDataCenter.com (http://www.flcdatacenter.com/CasePerm.aspx) data from 2000 till 2008. It looks like they recorded all the pre �perm cases as well. After this I exported all the stuff into mysql table and made some calculation on the labor certification data. Unfortunately cannot separate (e1,e2,e3 etc � some may want to try by country but �)
Again this is PERM � labor certification!!1 - but has to do with GC I guess...
Time frame 1999 Oct -2008 Oct:
Sum of cases: 720486, like '%CERT%' = 554635 (certified), like '%Deni%'= 60043 (denials), (Non duplicate case numbers were = 715191 (i.e. 5295 duplicates only from the 720486) )
There were ~100000 cases with some other �state� descriptions like Withdrawn = 13955, Received Regional Office = 69556 etc;
Anyway, by grouped years it comes to (sum � certified + denials +etc):
last action date with "null" entry ?? 34113
between '1999-10-01' and '2000-10-01' 74048
between '2000-10-01' and '2001-10-01' 82629
between '2001-10-01' and '2002-10-01' 89524
between '2002-10-01' and '2003-10-01' 95552

when american's from such third rate schools are not getting jobs, do you seriously think foreigners with their funny accents and relatively poor English communication skills (I'm Indian and can tell you its still a second language to me) can get jobs??
The market has a way of regulating itself. As someone mentioned above, there were a a lot of H1 space available from 2001-03. But it never got filled because there were simply not enough jobs. Lets not try to set up govenment intervention here....let the free market decide....that is what made this country great.
btw, NumbersuSA, FAIR and other restrictionist organizations have zero credibility because they oppose even legal immigration.

Your strategy is to go against her own bill to recapture greencards that she introduced for us last year.
I think this is wrong.
Recapture is a good option if you want to do it right. Otherwise all ROW will oppose you. How are you different than the guys who open threads against Telgus or EB3 vs EB2 or against Muslims.
What you are doing is only dividng the community. My collegues who are also IV members are upset reading that someone in IV is pursuing a one point agenda against ROW. We need to stop and think. A lot of ROW are quiet members on IV forum and they will be upset.
Country caps can only be supported if there is recapture or increase in visa numbers.

Did anyone receive card mailed e-mail/status update? I saw one member receive that.
I am not sure if the card mailed email is the guaranteed way of figuring out if your card is on it's way...Some people have received their cards after receiving CPO email only...
I am still waiting for my cards. Let's keep the hope alive:)

No one can force you to work for them. If there is no breakage clause, then the agreement will not stand in court. Issue is when there is a breakage clause. If there is a breakage clause, you may either have to fight it or suck it up and pay the amount (as long as it is a basis for the amount - just saying "pay $10K if you leave the job" will not stand in court either).
Usual disclaimer is - this is not legal advice. Consult a lawyer for good legal advice.

Let's NOT be hypocrites. We are just venting out our frustrations of these never ending Visa Bulletin life...
We all know that we respect each other and value much more than these occasional emotional outbursts. Donors or Non Donors, USCIS treats us as same shit.
My take would be, if people want to Donate or find that their Donation could help their cause, they will Donate. We can only request people to Donate and put forth our 'Selling points', which I think Pappu, Ameya and others are doing it already.
Please don't stoop down to the level of hating each other on the basis of 'Donor' Vs 'Non-Donor'.
I honestly, think IV should rename that to 'Paid member' or 'Privileged' or 'Subscriber', IMHO, it's NO DONATION. People Donate because they expect something in return...we all want other to donate so that we can have bigger impact, but this is definitely NOT the way to go about it.

There are many who are in the same boat where cases are in transit or with an officer for quite some time. I wished USCIS processes the case in order of PD rather than in a random fashion. Also they need to do it at TSC and NSC.
