There is no box for A#. The fields are - Receipt #, Case Type (I-140), Receipt Date, Priority Date, Petitioner, Notice Date, Page (1 of 1), Beneficiary, Law firm's name and address, Notice Type (Approval, Preference category).
This was around April 2006. Maybe they changed the format?

Yes forwarded the copy to the lawyer this morning.I have an appointment with lawyer Friday morning regarding this..So for lawyer office didn't received anything from uscis.
Here is my backround
1)Worked for Company A from 2003 to 2008.
2)Company A applied I-140 and approved April 2006. AOS 485 filed on July 2007. Got EAD but never used it
3)September 2008 I have Joined employer “B” by transferring H1B (Valid until Aug 21st 2010).
4)Employer A revoked 140 which triggered 485 denials in October 2008.
5)Applied MTR and it was approved in NOVEMBER 2008 and 485 re-opened.
This is the only major concern I have.Though I have approved MTR and 485 re-opened, but my online status of 485 still showing denied.
My AP approved last month.......my wife EAD,AP approved last month.I am the primary..strange
I know I have moderate control over this situation.Just having good faith & hope.This whole thing H1-B,DL,GC,EAD,AP & visa stamping ..etc what a pain for some people.Very sad.For uscis error(485 denial wrongly) I am not only lost money( closee to 5k) also lost "n" no of days of sleep back in 2008 and now :mad:

According to my knowledge it has to be after the college. You cannot be fulltime employed and full time student at the same time.
So in nutshell. B.S + 5 years exp (After completing BS) and also the job must demand for BS + 5 years exp.Else you cannot file under EB2.
Thanks guys... I believe my experiences are "progressive" (whatever that means) in a sense that during 5 years of work I progressed accordignly and to the level that the job description / ad for my position would require BS plus 5 years of experience.
What I don't get and was not quite sure about was the fact that 2 of those 5 years were during college. 5 years of experience is 5 years - I don't get why they would not like it. It is normal for people to work full time and go to college full time. When you get hired, if you have 5 years of full time experience, the prospective employer could not care less that 2 years of that were gained during last 2 years of college.
Dunno ... with USCIS and their rules ...

OTOH, maybe studio work isn't really for me...
I used to think the same thing until I realized what a great learning tool it can be. If you can learn to light a multitude of subjects with various lighting techniques you learn much more than just "studio photography". You learn ratios, composition, DOF, exposure, etc etc and the more you learn the better your other subjects will be because of it.

Please help me guiding in my situation:
I have been on H1B for about 2 years, I came through desi consulting company. As usual there were no bench salary and very irregular payment during project duration also, I was not paid for about 50% of time.
I had switched to another employer couple of months back, My H1B approval with new employer is still pending. recently I had got letter from Department of Labor (DOL). They are trying to investigate my previous employer if he is complying with american competitiveness and workforce improvement act(ACWIA) of 1998.
They had sent me a questioner about previous employer about salary being paid etc.
I am not sure what should I be doing in this situation:
If I reply with all facts this might effect my pending H1B status for new employer.
If I write in a way that thing were as per LC then I am lieing, which I am not comfortable with.
Third Option could be that I do not respond at all
[They had mentioned that I am NOT required to respond.]
I am seeking help from experts and forum members, what should be I doing in this situation so that my H1B transfer do not get jeopradasided.

If you decide to reply, tell the truth.
Telling the truth about not getting paid will not get your new H1 extension into jeopardy. If you already filed for extension and do not have pay stubs for a period of time, you will possibly receive a RFE for lack of pay stubs. your response will help as an explanation of the employer's violations in case of a RFE and possibly can get you paid for the time you were not paid.

When you go for a loan against the credit card balance, there are two types.
1> 0% to 1.99% short term loan with 3% transfer fee.
2> 4.99% to 5.99% LIFE time loan with 3% transfer fee.
The key thing for both the loan is...
1> Never EVER use the credit card that you used to get the loan UNTIL you repay the loan completely..
2> When you go for the loan, ensure the balance on your card is zero. If you have a balance, ask them to pay off the balance from the loan amount and send the reminder.
3> Always pay on time at least the minimum balance. Never miss a payment. Ensure this credit card doesn't have universal default clause, meaning, if you are late on any other credit card then you are considered as late on this card.
If all the above three points are acceptable, I suggest CC loans. Otherwise, look for other options.

It is safe to say notice date in Sept equal to receipting by USCIS in Sept, because at notice date, USCIS actually open your file then send receipt.
So,from , EB receipt in Sept vs. receipt in Oct = 2:1
150k in Sept. include both EB(100K) and FB (50K).
(Note: assume received FB every month 50K. 50K is a reasonable assumption,
otherwise it's no way for USCIS to approve 800K AOS a year.)
Since EB in Sept vs. Oct is 2:1, so total EB receipting in Oct. should be 50K.
Out of the 655k total, the key is lead time for FB approval, how many month?
This is the key! If we assume average FB approval takes 6 month,
then EB out of the 655k is 655K-50Kx6=355K.
Add the 50K EB in Oct. Total EB backlog is 405K.
Still the key is average FB approval time, any gurus has any idea.

First of all, this is a wrong forum to went our your points about illegals.. We in IV encourage a legal immigration. But the moment we start excluding people, the list can go on and on.. You start with so called illegasl today (with due sympathy for using that word..), but this exclusion will go on to legals, new doctors, engineers willing to come, settle and work in USA. Remember this is a land of immigrants. If you have any doubt, just look at the new bills introduced by senators to effectively kill H1B program the only legal option for most educated to come to US.
Lets for instance say we want everyone to go back to their own countries.. Where do you want to draw that line to go back, 1980?, 1900? how about 1600??
Grow up and learn to innovate new ways to get employed and live a happy life. Don't try to ruin the very foundation on which this country is built. Trust me there are more patriots in this forum than you could imagine..

I completely understand that EB2 and EB3 are determined by the job requirements. I know the current job that I am going to do requires 5 years of experience and a Bachelor or Master degree. that is why I am convincing my new employer for help which they agreed to.
I can imagine that i need to do all the labor and I140 as well. But can I apply for Labor without having an H1? as I have mentioned that my H1 had been voided after getting laidoff from my first company and am working on my EAD. Is it a good idea to switch EB3 to EB2 at this point? I have an set up an appointment with a lawyer this Monday. Thanks for the advice.

Automatic revalidation for getting new visa in USA was stopped in 2004. But I suppose automatic revalidation for I-94 while coming from Canada/Mexico is not stopped yet. I may be wrong but check it by yourself the latest rule from US department of state through the link here.

I would say that getting an appointment and a new visa stamp is the safest bet. If that's not a possibility and you have to go, I will suggest travel by road instead of air. From what I have heard they tend to be more lenient when you are driving across.
Do check thoroughly before travelling on an expired visa.

You will be extremely lucky to get any student loans without a US citizen/GC co-signer. I tried it in 2005 and had to get a co-signer. Now with economy tanking it will be tough sell without a co-signer. So do not waste lot of time in searching for student loans in US.
As for credit cards, new laws passed by congress will not come into effect until July 2010. So until then credit card companies can screw you left and right. That beast is best not to deal with. Do not trust any lifetime APRs or anything from credit card companies. They can jack up your rates for no reason. There are no laws protecting consumers. Do not become another statistics in their game. No amount of credit card arbitrage justifies the time it needs.
You can try HELOC if you have equity in your house.

If you lose a job then you can get extension of deferment later down the road. The advantages associated with student loans are priceless. I sent a single check of $745 just for my wifes app, my employer sent the $745 check for me , this included all including biometrics, why would they be crazy to receipt one app and reject another both within the same packet, for reason like 'improper filing fees', i am upset.
Are you sure you wrote the right amount in numbers and words and sign and date it corrrectly? I have read if the words are not right they might return it.

1yr extension rule kicks-in after 6yr.
What if H1-B extension is for last 3 years of total 6 years? It means,my first 3 years are ending in nov 07, and if I file 485, will I get 3 years of extension or 1 yr extension?
